SUCCESSFUL HERITAGE WEEKEND
Saturday, 22 and Sunday, 23 OCTOBER
A successful exhibition was held in the Plaza, on Thrapston on Saturday, 22 October (10 am to 4 pm) and Sunday, 23 October 10 am to 2 pm.
The main theme for the exhibition was Thrapston and its surrounding villages, from 1890 to 1935, which was a period of major change in the personal and working lives of residents.
Also there were special displays on TADS, local Football and Cricket and the Sailing Club.
Something for all of the 300 or more people who came over the weekend
Thrapston Heritage hasn't yet found a suitable venue for its Heritage Centre. However, the idea is alive and well within the community and our collection is slowly growing. In the meantime, we shall be arranging mini exhibitions at various locations to promote the Heritage Centre concept.
In association with Thrapston District Historical Society, Thrapston Heritage will be displaying the most recently acquired items in its collection and a number of archives loaned by local organisations on
Saturday 22 October 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday 23 October 10 am to 2 pm
at the Thrapston Plaza
